Cheers from the ACE CAFE

Last January to March 2011, I was building up my inventory of professional video and sound equipment and I needed a place that I could go to test everything out and see how it performed. I decided to head to my favorite bar on the planet, the ACE Cafe, and just start shooting. At first Rob, the owner, was really reluctant to let me interview him. Finally, after much persistence and encouragement, he agreed to chat with me. What I didn't realize (until later) was that he was in the process of losing his bar. What started as a camera-test developed into this really interesting heart-felt narrative about a great man and his great bar. (Now I'm thirsty........)
